Personal Q&As

I vividly remember the first time I delivered a baby and handed him to his mother. The overwhelming look of utmost joy and emotion in her eyes is something I will never forget. It is such a privilege to be a part of each person’s pregnancy and birth journey – one of the most important and cherished moments in your life. This is the reason now that I still love getting out of bed in the middle of the night to deliver a baby.

I am a passionate skier and Board Member of a ski club, which has lodges at Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Buller and Perisher. My children started skiing when they were two years old and my 6 year old now skis much faster than I do!

Prior to medical school, I worked as a veterinary surgeon for 7 years.

As an accomplished mountaineer, I have climbed many difficult alpine peaks in extremely remote locations. I have independently climbed the three highest mountains in New Zealand and also several difficult frozen waterfalls in the Canadian Rockies. These days, I enjoy rock climbing, backcountry ski touring, hiking and camping with my partner and two children.
