Telehealth Consultations

Telehealth consultations are offered by some of our specialists but not all.

Patients generally require an initial face-to-face appointment as often a full physical examination is required. However, follow-up appointments may be suitable for Telehealth at your specialist’s discretion.

Very occasionally, an initial Telehealth consultation may be permitted in certain circumstances, at the specialist’s discretion. Examples include where the patient has a very long distance to travel or as medically indicated.

Not all patients are suitable for Telehealth, particularly:

  • Obstetric patients as they may need a physical examination
  • Patients in a current IVF cycle

Telehealth appointments are generally suitable for patients receiving results only or discussing the next step in their treatment plan.

Making a Telehealth Booking:

Patients can request a Telehealth consultation, but staff will need to check with their specialist prior to confirming the booking.

Usually, your specialist will guide the patient during their initial in-person consultation regarding the types of appointments to book (eg: book a telehealth in 2-weeks and a face-to-face in 4-weeks, etc).

Please get in touch with our team to request a Telehealth consultation or raise it with your obstetrician and gynaecologist during your appointment.
